The Gatherer’s Bounty Series
These stories take place on the planet Vilakku: a supercontinent where LEVIATHANS thrive, SEVEN KINGDOMS rule, and all life has been confined to a single territory called MALSTRAY. Malstray’s borders—the noxious, lethal desert known as IRONSTRAY, and the fearsome sea called TAKER’S BLOAT—ensure that no one has returned to their former homelands for two thousand ages.
This is a brutal, medieval world, where cities and towns are not always guaranteed their safety from the jaws and claws of Leviathans, nor from the sword or plasma of their neighbors.
The Shifting Memory Series
Novels here are set on the planet UNFEASTED. It, too, is a supercontinent—another instance of the one called Vilakku. But in this parallel universe, it is a modern world.
Unfeasted is run by an all-powerful government agency known as the LEVIATHAN SAFETY ORGANIZATION, is split into NINE QUADRANTS where people have thrived for decades without Leviathan interference, and features two GREAT PARTITIONS that keep all the world’s Leviathans and other lethal animals separated from civilization.
Again, as in Vilakku, Unfeasted also has Leviathans and Star-Shapers, but here they play much different roles in this monopolized society. Leviathans have found cracks in the Great Partitions and now stalk the unready public, while Shapers act both on behalf of humanity and against it.
