Update on New Novel
10-3-24
As I enter into my second month working on this latest story, I am inching nearer the halfway mark of the 1st draft. So far, I’ve not gone back much to reread or edit what I’ve written, which is something that I have had to force myself to do. Normally, I would have gone back after completing each chapter to edit and then reedit before moving on.
This has not only allowed me to make more progress at a better pace, but it also has in way made each of these 1st draft chapters feel better to me, and that maybe they will demand less editing when I do circle back to them. Perhaps this is just a symptom of me becoming more accustomed to writing.
While writing this latest book, It has me thinking and excited about which one I’ll get my hands back on next. I have a few that I’ve started, but that I haven’t looked at in quite some time. I also have a novella that is still sitting at a 1st draft with no edits that I want to get back into as well, but I know that one requires a lot of time and attention in order to get it to where it needs to be. And right now my goal is to get one of my full works in the hands of an agent, so perhaps I will have to shuffle the novella to the back of the pile for now.
I really appreciate you reading this, and I hope that very soon you will be able to have a copy of one of my novels in your hands as well!
